Below are a few tourist attractions, places to visit, etc. during your stay at Torcroft chalets. We are just five minutes from Loch Ness, where you can take a cruise or tour with Jacobite from Inverness down to Urquhart Castle, (there are several other tours available also).
Visit the Loch Ness monster museum in Drumnadrochit and the new visitor centre at Urquhart castle. All within easy reach of Torcroft.
For the more serious shoppers amongst you the city of Inverness is only 18 miles away. With large modern shopping facilities.Or from Inverness take an open top bus tour around the city and out to the famous Culloden battlefield, even day trips to Orkney can be arranged from Inverness.
Take a drive to the Isle of Skye, (around 90 minutes or so away), also the stunning West Coast to Ullapool, Gairloch and the gardens of Inverewe.
Visit the Black Isle and see the Morray Firth Dolphins at Channory point, (catch the tide right and often the dolphins are only 10-20 meters away!).
Take a ride on the new gondola up Ben Nevis or to Aviemore and the Cairngorms. Visit the Castles trail and whisky trails of Speyside, (take a tour and enjoy a free nip at the famous Glenfiddich distillery at Dufftown).
There are also several great train journeys, including the new Fort William to Mallaig STEAM train, described as one of the great railway journeys of the world!
If you enjoy the mountains there’s an endless list of walks, from gentle strolls to Munro bagging. You’ll be looking from the lodges towards the mountains of Glen Affric and the views from the mountains can take your breath away! There are also river walks and some super water falls to visit. For a gentle evening stroll, walk from TORCROFT and enjoy the view over Loch Meikle. Walk up the forest trails and see red and roe deer in their natural environment, see buzzards, red kites and if you are really lucky, sea eagles and osprey over the mountain lochs.

How to Find Us
From the South : Direct route via Perth A9 to Inverness the A82 signposted Fort William.
Scenic route : Allow extra time. Via Glasgow A82, Loch Lomond, Glencoe, Fort William
Both routes : At Drumnadrochit take the A831 Cannich road along Glenurquhart for 4 miles, beyond a high stone wall on the right with the sign for Torcroft Lodges drive up a hill and call at reception.
